Job Description

Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible for administering recruitment and staffing related operations as per policies & procedures, to develop and maintain long standing and strategic relationships with Clients and Candidates, implementing the recruitment process, effectively, matching suitable candidates for suitable vacancies/clients through qualification and referencing. He/she is also responsible for development and support of team whilst always demonstrating the values of Burgan Bank.

Key Responsibilites

Planning and Management

  • Assist direct manager in developing recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels and build recruitment materials for presentations, job fairs and open days
  • Take a proactive approach to meet staffing requirements by attracting, sourcing and screening applicants using innovative techniques

Understanding

  • Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the concerned field and related matters of interest to the department

Fieldwork

  • Carry out background and reference checks on prospective employees by obtaining references in accordance with established Bank procedures for all applicants who are offered a position with the Bank
  • Prepare routine documentations and required checks for new employees and maintain files and records of all applicants for quick retrieval and processing
  • Maintain and develop current client relationships to ensure that they receive the best service possible to maximize business opportunity
  • Ensure that records are kept in line with and adhere to the recruitment legislation
  • Keep all paperwork/system work up-to date regarding candidate’s eligibility to work, permits, umbrella companies, etc.
  •  Follow up on completion of probationary period and advice on staff confirmation
  • Conduct competency-based interviews and use appropriate assessments
  • Check candidates’ references with their previous employers
  • Update the candidates’ database systems as required
  • Write up professional job advertising and select employment advertising methods when needed
  • Interact closely with Specialist Recruitment regarding assigned hires as well as continuous follow up with on-boarding
  •  Write up contracts, including terms and conditions
  •  Set up, monitor and then track employee probationary periods

Reporting

  • Generate and escalate periodic and ad hoc reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Internal Interactions

  • Participate in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and deliver quality service
  •  Liaise with line managers to ensure a full understanding of their requirements and preferences
  • Schedule interviews and follow up with interviewers and department heads for feedback as per the set processes and procedures

External Interactions

  • Deal with client/candidate queries and take ownership to follow up and ensure dealt with efficiently
  • Co-ordinate the employment and payment of temporary staff and ensure that all the necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Work closely with assigned business’ HRMs to deliver recruitment needs;make offers to successful applicants, negotiate when necessary and regret unsuccessful applicants
  • Ensure that Insurance companies and all other related government entities are informed of new recruits and follow up on their registrations

People Development

  • Participate in the selection and development of staff
  • Evaluate performance and recommend developmental needs of the team like development of core expertise in the given countries, sectors etc.
  • Review recommendations of subordinate staff and provide guidance in resolving complex or sensitive problems
  • Maintain and promote positive work culture and responsible for improving employee engagement level of the team

 

Skills

Educational Qualification(s) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field Experience Minimum years of required experience:  8 years Language(s) known §  English (Proficient) §  Arabic (Proficient)
