Assist in the month end closing and balance sheet reconciliation
Produce accurate and timely financial reports on Group IFRS basis, local statutory basis and HKFRS basis to management, Group office, regulators and other external bodies as appropriate
Prepare Group reporting pack in accordance with the Group’s requirement
Prepare regulatory submissions to the Insurance Authority
Support annual audit and liaise with external auditors on accounting issues
Prepare annual audited financial statements, tax filing and government surveys
Assist in maintenance of the chart of accounts and reporting structure in compliance with the application of Group IFRS, local statutory, and HKFRS basis
Support evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements/standards to ensure compliance of Group IFRS, HKFRS and local regulations
Support the department by assisting in special projects on an as needed basis
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
3 years or above in accounting/auditing and reporting; knowledge of the life insurance industry is preferred
Holder or finalist of a recognized professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, HKSA, CIMA, CGA, CMA, ASCPA, AICPA etc.) is preferred
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Words, etc.) are required; previous experience in PeopleSoft system is preferred but not required
Good communication skill and a team player
Good analytical, problem solving and time management skills
Fluent in English and Cantonese
